ATPL Theory Course

AWA offers a full time comprehensive Aeroplane ATPL theory Ground School course. This course is designed specifically to help students master the 4 ATPL subjects which most other students deem as "challenging" while also providing tutorial services for the remaining 3 easier-to-understand subjects.

The course duration is 6 weeks, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. Saturdays may be required from time to time. Students are expected to complete nightly homework and revision during the course.

AWA provides practice exams before students attempt the CASA Cyberexams.

The six week course focuses on the following subjects:
• Flight Planning
• Navigation
• Aerodynamics and Aircraft Systems
• Performance and Loading

The three remaining subjects are completed during your study at AWA but we recommend they are done at a different time to the other 4 topics.
• Air Law
• Meteorology
• Human Factors

Our Fees include all course notes and practice exams – you will not need to purchase any texts. You will however be required to provide your own set of Airservices Publications and Charts.
